Mountains
in the Mist
words
by Desİ
A
moving shroud, over the mountains, take a look, you
can't resist,
What
lies beyond the throes of death, in the mountains, in
the mist.
Does
Cuchulain rise again, his mighty sword to sweep,
Or
Ferdia splash within the stream, awakened from his
sleep,
To
reenact that fateful day, when friends crossed swords in
fear,
As
Ferdia's life has slipped away, and Cuchulains eyes, and
Cuchulains eyes,
Were
wet with tears.
A
moving shroud, over the mountains, take a look, you
can't resist,
What
lies beyond the throes of death, in the mountains, in
the mist.
Do
the bulls of war crash heads, and cause the thunder in
the night,
As
kings and queens retire for bed, lusting for the fight,
And
Maeve will cast that magic spell, and take the battle to
the foe,
As
she surveyed the battles hell, inside she wept, inside
she cried,
And
wished this was'nt so.
The
black swan, she flies above it all,
wide
winged, with a dark eyed frown,
She'll
return again, after the fall.
The
mist cloaks all, like shawl and gown,
The
night grows colder, all around,
The
light begins to fail,
Mountain
mist rolls, over the ground,
The
weeping banshee, starts to wail.
A
moving shroud, over the mountains, take a look, you
can't resist,
What
lies beyond the throes of death, in the mountains, in
the mist.
